Machine Setter / Operator
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm)

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established, internationally recognised manufacturing business based in Milton Keynes.
Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Machine Setter / Operator to join their production team, working with specialist coating, slitting and rewinding machinery.
We welcome applications from candidates across a variety of manufacturing backgrounds, including food production, plastics, engineering, automotive, print and packaging.
Previous print or packaging experience is not essential, as full training on the company's specialist coating, slitting and rewinding equipment will be provided.
 
The Role

- Setting up, operating and adjusting coating, slitting and rewinding machinery
- Monitoring production runs and ensuring efficient machine performance
- Carrying out quality checks and inspecting finished products
- Identifying faults and completing basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting
- Loading and unloading materials as required
- Completing production records and maintaining a safe working environment

About You
We are looking for candidates with previous experience setting and operating machinery within a manufacturing or production environment.
You will ideally have:

- Experience as a Machine Setter, Machine Operator or similar
- Hands-on experience setting up and adjusting machinery
- Good mechanical understanding and practical problem-solving skills
- Confidence carrying out basic fault finding and machine adjustments
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Flexibility to work rotating early and late shifts

Experience with coating, slitting, rewinding or other print and packaging machinery would be advantageous but is not essential. Candidates from other manufacturing industries with transferable machine-setting skills are strongly encouraged to apply.
